As an independent news source for top global health policy debates, trends and news, HPW’s goal is to increase their readership and also assert themselves as a staple news-source for their current readers.
Health Policy Watch boasts an extensive archive of fantastic content but the website wasn’t engaging readers. An audit of the site indicated that the problem was that readers had no way to easily navigate the site, nor could they organically explore content.
The end solution was a result of tackling the problem from the perspective of both the readers and the HPW staff.
I worked directly with the staff to improve the organization of the site starting with how they added and archived articles. We found a balance between the methods they were accustomed to using and new ones that would allow us to implement traditional navigation patterns that users expect.
The focus of the UI redesign was to present users with a more modern and engaging UX, on par with other content driven sites.
The homepage redesign and site structure is complete but work continues on interior pages.
